Overview

Most floating text add-ons hang a name tag on an invisible mob, then hunt through every entity in the world, every tick, to keep it in place. Advanced Floating Text is drawn with Minecraft's own text rendering instead: no entities, nothing for /kill @e to destroy, nothing that freezes when a chunk unloads, and nothing running for texts nobody is near.

Type /mygen:floatingtext (or use the Floating Text Wand on a text) and pick from nine templates: a welcome sign, a leaderboard, server info, a rules board, a countdown, a shop sign and more. The editor shows every change on the real text as you make it, with the finished text, placeholders filled in, at the top.

Make it look the part with & colour codes, hex colours, gradients and rainbows, any size, thirteen backgrounds, and text that faces each player or stays fixed like a sign. Make it move with bob, spin, swing and pulse, rainbow, shimmer, typewriter, blink and glitch effects, and up to twelve pages that turn by themselves. Eleven particle effects, made for the add-on, come in any colour: sparkles, glow, embers, snow, hearts, music notes, enchanting glyphs, an orbit ring, fireflies, bubbles and shooting stars.

Players can punch a text to turn its page, get a message, run a command, hear a sound or teleport. Placeholders fill in live: players online, TPS, game and real time, moon phase, weather, countdowns, scores, and per-player values like each viewer's name, rank, health and biome. Leaderboards show the top players of any scoreboard in gold, silver and bronze, keep offline players' names, and can rank lowest first or online players only.

Texts can be shown to everyone, to players with or without a tag, or to editors only, grouped and switched on and off together, and brought back from Recently deleted. Command blocks and other add-ons can drive any text with script events. Operators set how often placeholders update, how smooth motion is and how far texts load, and can let builders edit with a tag instead of operator.
