im quite experienced in web design, thats html, css, and some javascript, but i know nothing of php or cgi, and it seems a bit pointless to make pages that look good but have no interactive qualities
i understand that its complicated and needs a bit more ground work than this, so could anyone let me know of a website that teaches you the basics, so that i can learn like the general stuff involved in data handling...
i can do forms quite easily, but have no way of processing the info sent, as i dont understand php (or cgi if its easier?...)
thanks _________________ Myspace Profile - ben hough |

If you're new to programming completely then you're best off getting a dummies book or something that teaches you the basics. Once you've got a grasp of that then you can learn PHP.
Most tutorials will assume you have programming knowledge to begin with, so you're better off getting well versed with the basics such as variables, branching statements, loops, arrays etc before learning the actual language. _________________
